Disclaimer: This Entangled Teen Crush book contains adult language, ice-melting kisses, and a swoon-worthy hero. This fake relationship romance will have you wishing for a hockey player of your own…

Natalie West and Toby Cooper were best friends growing up, on and off the ice. But when Toby’s hockey career took off, their friendship was left behind. Now Natalie has a crazy plan to land her crush—Toby’s biggest rival—and she needs Toby’s help to pull it off.

When Nat asks Toby to be her fake boyfriend, he can’t say no. Not when it means getting his best friend back. But Natalie is all grown up now, and spending time with her—even when it’s just playing hockey together—stirs up a lot of feelings, old and new. Suddenly pretending to be interested in her isn’t hard at all…if only she wanted him and not his enemy.

Hockey tore them apart. Can it put them back together?

So, you know we didn’t love the first book in the Corrigan Falls Raiders series, Center Ice, but we’re suckers for Hockey Romances, so we couldn’t resist Winging It. And when we found out that this was the inspiration for this book, we snapped it up immediately:

Ahhhh we just want to watch it a thousand times! Anyway, we’re so glad we gave this book a try because we liked this one a lot more than we did the first one.

The 411:

Nat and Toby were BFFs but you know how it is when you get other interests–sometimes you lose touch with your friends. She’s bitter about it and rightfully so. She asks Toby to help her snag her dream guy, who just happens to be his biggest rival and cousin, Scott. Toby agrees because it means getting Nat back in his world, but will it all blow up in his face if her plan to gain Scott’s attention works?

What We Loved:

Friends to more stories are some of our faves, so we were pretty glad to get Toby and Nat’s history here. We felt bad for both of them and loved their banter and their obvious chemistry. This was a really cute story, with lots of swoon and not too much drama.

Um...Not So Much:

We didn’t understand Natalie most of the time, but whatever.

Bottom Line:

Winging It is a fast, fun read, and we’re glad we picked it up.
