***Our Review***

What We Loved:

Meg’s youngest is a HUGE construction truck junkie, so when we found out that Anna Dewdney was writing a book about a truck we knew we had to get our hands on it! The illustrations are of course amazing, and the phrasing is melodical and so much fun to read. If you have kiddos who love trucks or just love to make truck sounds (SMASH SMASH SMASH! Dig Dig Dig!) they are going to love reading this one. We definitely did.

***Mini Swoons Review***

Review by Matteo, Age 5

I want books about the other trucks! Will there be books about the other trucks too? You make the sounds good mommy, but I want dad to read it and hear how he does the sounds because he does those awesome! (I asked him his favorite page…) I love the SMASH page. Oh, the go, go, go was good too! I just like seeing all the pictures of the trucks. There are all so cute, my favorite is the excavator, but I like them all. (I asked him if he thought his friends would want to read it…) Yes! Except, (friends name). He only reads Star Wars. But, oh well. Everyone else would like it. This is mine, right? I get to keep it. ( He of course got to keep it!)

***Meet Anna Dewdney***

Anna Dewdney was a teacher, mother, and enthusiastic proponent of reading aloud to children. She continually honed her skills as an artist and writer and published her first Llama Llama book in 2005. Her passion for creating extended to home and garden and she lovingly restored an 18th century farmhouse in southern Vermont. She wrote, painted, gardened, and lived there with her partner, Reed, her two daughters, two wirehaired pointing griffons, and one bulldog. Anna passed away in 2016, but her spirit will live on in her books.
