{Top Ten} Characters We’d NEVER Name Anything After

top-ten-tuesday-new

We thought we’d take this topic and mix things up a bit. We’re big fans of naming our pets after some of our favorite characters:

Gryffindor Ares Primrose Everdeen

We’ve also got (or had *sniffle*) a Falcor, an Arabella, a Sirius, a Dumbledore, and a Sadie.

Anyway, we thought we’d shake things up a bit and let you know the Top 10 Characters We’d NEVER Name Anything After. Not even our trash cans.

Skanktoria Victoria

(from the Twilight Saga by Stephenie Meyer)

the Twilight Saga by Stephenie Meyer

Yes, Kassiah knows she’s completely crazy and that there are probably lots of Victorias that are fine. But she–and by extension that means we–just can’t get over her evilness and harlotry from our fic days. So, she’s forever Skanktoria to us, no matter what book she’s in.

Dolores

Does this need an explanation?

Warner

(from the Shatter Me Series by Tahereh Mafi)

We know lots of people ❤ Warner, but we just can’t. And the thought of having anything permanent with his name attached to it gives us the legit creeps.

Bev

(from The Disenchantments by Nina LaCour)

We can’t even tell you all the horrible things we wanted to happen to Bev after what she does to Colby. Trust, it wasn’t pretty. And neither is she.

Brooke

Yeah, she couldn’t help but be in love with Perry. We can’t resist him, either. Whatever, we hate her anyway.

Wendy

(from Tiger Lily by Jodi Lynn Anderson)

Just thinking about this book makes us want to start sobbing. Stupid Wendy Darling, ruining everyone’s lives.

Gray

(from the Taken Series by Erin Bowman)

There are some Grays that we love and there are some Greys that we hate. We don’t ever talk about one of them, but it’s no secret that Gray Weathersby from the Taken series broke our hearts and stomped on them. Jerk.

Gale

(from The Hunger Games Series by Suzanne Collins)

Shakes our heads. He’s just…ugh. We don’t understand the appeal, even a little bit, and the name is forever ruined for us.

Alaska

(from Looking for Alaska by John Green)

Neither of us would really want to name anything Alaska (or any other states, really), but thinking about her makes us roll our eyes. We’re not Alaska-fans, and we don’t want a constant reminder of her crazy selfishness.

Edward Willing

We wouldn’t name our pets Edward Willing. But we would maybe–possibly–name a picture of a statue of one our pets this. hahaha

So, that’s our list this week. Who’s a character that makes you cringe whenever you hear his name?
