realbookchallengefeatured2

December is over and that means that the first year of the “Real” Book Challenge has also come to an end.  How did the month go for you? Did you make your goals? We had great months and both made it to the number of real books we set out to read for the year. Want to know what we read last month? Here’s the list of “real” books that we read in December:

Meg

Kassiah

Dictatorship of the Dress You Have to Fucking Eat

Now it’s your turn. Were any of these books on your list? Make sure you link up your monthly wrap-up in the linky below by the 10th of January and look for our newsletter in your inbox on the 15th. 1. Uh, guys? I haven’t gotten replies; e-mail or here. I wondered if my 52 (fifty-two!) entries were included last draw. They would have filled the bowl. I had to check! If someone else won; congratulations. I don’t get a newsletter and would love to see who wins each month and what the prizes. It’s nice for the public to see too but especially as a participant; I would enjoy it if this info isn’t confined to newsletters.

So! Is the year-end winner a draw, or are you awarding the one who read most? I’m going to have 138 entries as soon as I update my blog. I hope you have a very large bucket and my chances are good! 🙂 Happy new year to everyone. You are all welcome to my challenges too, so please come and look. 2. Oops – it looks the linky retained the title of my last review. If you have a minute, please delete the part in parenthesis so my name solely reads: “Carolyn @ RIEDEL Fascination“. The URL in entry #6 is accurate. It has this month’s 10 books and the whole year’s 138 book total, ready for browsing!

  3. My goal was 50 “real” books and I came in at 48…..close. I can’t believe how challenging it was for me to read ‘real’ books. I much prefer reading ebooks or, better yet, listening to audiobooks. I pinned my books to a Pinterest page http://www.pinterest.com/navywyfe/2014-real-book-challenge/. It was fun to look back at the covers of all of the great books that I read this year.

  4. Please don’t forget to announce who wins. I don’t receive a newsletter but keep coming back to check very carefully. With 138 real books read, reviewed, and shown on my blog post; I’d be very surprised if I didn’t win! Like the 52 I linked in November alone! Eager for great news.

Please correct my name in linky #7. It should just say “Carolyn @ RIEDEL Fascination“. ‘Home For The Haunting’ was a book title that showed up by mistake. Also a comment from the hostesses at my blog would be awesome. We don’t want to finish 2014 with it empty. http://cmriedel.wordpress.com/2014/01/07/real-book-challenge/
